Technical Excursions

Technical excursions are free for all participants paying a conference fee.

A - The cryotherapy centre in Praha - Modrany (from 16:00 – cca 18:00)

After technical and medical explanation participants will have an opportunity to experience a cryo-chamber. Details and (health) conditions of the visit will be available as soon as possible.

··· Friday – April 25, 2008 – departure: 8:30

B – AIR PRODUCTS Litvínov

Two air separation plants in Litvinov, 850 ton/day and 300 ton/day, back up system on water bath vaporizers, emergency back-up on ambient vaporizers.

C – PRAKTIK Liberec

Technology of recycling of freons from scrapped home refrigerators using liquid nitrogen, a bus trip from Prague through a nice landscape, 80 km, the trip would last 6 hours approximatelly.

Number of participants limited to 20.

Application for participation would be accepted with the conference registration or any time later.
With respect of unique opportunity for foreign customers to visit this plant, in case of more than 20 applications, preference would be given to foreign participants.

Another visit can be negotiated for Czech participants with assistance of ATEKO, the cryogenic technology vendor, after the conference.“

C – LASSELSBERGER Kaznejov

A large pulsed superconducting magnet cooled by liquid helium is used for cleaning caolin ore from the local large caolin surface mine. The site is in western Bohemia not far from Pilsen and Marianske Lazne. The trip on the route through Pilsen would last approximately 6 hours.
