The language of the conference is English. No translation service will be provided.

The welcome reception will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2007.

Currency and exchange rates

The official currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech Crown = Česká koruna (CZK = Kč).
1 USD = approx. CZK 21,5 and 1 EUR = approx. CZK 28. You can find the official exchange rates on the website of the Czech National Bank http://www.cnb.cz/

Electricity

The Czech Republic uses a 220 V, 50 Hz system. Sockets conform to the European standard plugs are three-pronged earthed. 

Insurance

The organising committee assumes no responsibility for injuries or losses occurring to persons or personal belongings during the event. Participants are advised to take out proper travel and health insurance.

Parking Facilities

No parking spaces are available at the meeting site.

Visa

Participants requiring a visa should apply immediately to the consular office or embassy of the Czech Republic in their country in order to avoid inconvenience. Weather in Spring in the Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is located on the borderline between two great climatic regimes, the oceanic and the continental, and the weather consequently tends to be fairly variable in different regions. Usually weather in April is quite warm but might be an occasional shower, and it is therefore advisable to bring jacket, a sweeter and an umbrella. The average daytime temperature is 15°C - 20°C.

Detailed information on transport possibilities from the airport or from train stations to the conference sites or to various hotels will be available approximately 1 month before the beginning of event.
